A manually operated entry-level creasing machine has become a surprise star among the new range of creasing and folding devices shown by Tech-ni-Fold ad drupa (Hall 10, stand C-61).

The CreaseStream Mini from partner company CreaseStream is a simple, hand cranked device that can crease and micro-perforate using the same high-quality tools as the company´s other devices. It is prices at 1,990 euros, and can operate at 1,200 sph.

“We´ve sold about 30 already and we didn´t expect to sell it off the stand”, said managing director Graham Harris. “It´s ideal for small printers, and designers absolutely love it.

“One customer even asked us if we supplied it with a monkey to turn the handle!” he added.

With a host of innovative products on its booth, the company is finding particular success in Latin America, thanks to the presence at drupe of a team from Tech-ni-fold´s Mexican distributor.

“They have attracted an enormous amount of visitors from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay,” Harris added. “There is a special atmosphere on our stand, we have a family spirit that is infectious.”

Also new at drupe from the company is the 8,700 euro CreaseStream Auto, with gravity flow feeder, which can be added to old folding machines to provide cost-effective creasing and perforating functions.
